Let’s face it. Instagram is saturated with travel bloggers and digital nomads sharing the many beautiful places they’ve visited but very few stand out. Tons of these accounts are picture perfect but you don’t know a thing about the person behind the profile. Social media was meant to be … wait for it … SOCIAL, so if you’re not highlighting what makes you you, your interactions will be shallow and you won’t be missed after you get unfollowed. 😂
To help you refresh your Insta feed, I partnered with some fellow Orlando bloggers to dish out our favorite travel Instagrammers to follow. Notice I said “Instagrammers” and not “Instagrams”? From solo travelers to family travelers, I’m sure you’ll find a new favorite Instagrammer below!
Orlando’s Favorite Travel Instagrammers to Follow
@LostLeBlanc – Fiorella Reategui
I’ve been following Christian since 2014 and have loved seeing his journey. His photography and editing skills are at another level, always producing high-quality videos and pictures. Not only does he travel to the most amazing places but he has such a talent in captivated each location with his own personal style while at the same time being 100% transparent and honest. His stories are also entertaining and make you feel like you’re right there with him.
@sunandstilettos & @sarahsomewhere – Stephanie Patterson
As an artist and lover of travel, I’ve intentionally filled my Instagram feed with inspiring travelers, writers, artists and photographers. I use Instagram to research destinations I’m planning to visit, spark creativity and discover new places and experiences. If I could trade lives with a few of my favorite travel Instagrammers for a day, I’d pick Lebawit Lily Girma of @sunandstilettos and Sarah Sekula of @sarahsomewhere in a heartbeat.
Lily is a MOON guidebook author, photographer and travel writer who specializes in the Caribbean, with a heavy focus on the Dominican Republic and Belize. Her feed is full of vibrant and authentic imagery showcasing the culture, food and breathtaking beauty of every place she visits.
Sarah is a travel journalist who writes for several major media outlets, and every time I pop into Instagram she seems to be in another state or country on some crazy adventurous trip. Scuba diving with sharks, paragliding alongside hawks (apparently called parahawking) and trekking to New Zealand are just a few things I’ve added to my bucket list thanks to Sarah’s account.
@anniesbucketlist & @thebucketlistfamily – Jessica Prieto
I love to travel and enjoy following accounts that relate to my interests. Annie of @anniesbucketlist is a full-time travel blogger from Australia who showcases the world colorfully and fashionably. She is my one of my favorite travel instagrammers because she not only brightens up my feed with colors from around the world, she also shares a lot of great travel tips and tricks I’ve found very helpful!
Another favorite travel account I enjoy following is @thebucketlistfamily. I’ve been following them ever since they made their YouTube channel sharing their travel journey and selling everything they owned to become full-time travelers. Along with their kids, they share a different perspective of travels by educating their viewers on different cultures, traditions, and cities around the world. This family is #goals!
@dreamstoplans_ – Valerie Moses
From dreamy desert landscapes to beautiful international destinations, @dreamstoplans_ is a travelgram that will make you swoon. Run by Phoenix-based social media manager Asia Faoro, @dreamstoplans_ has a strong focus on sustainability, which is important for all of us to keep in mind while traveling. The Southwest United States have been on my bucket list for a long time, so her shots in nature are truly breathtaking. Between the famed pyramids in Egypt and the colorful Salvation Mountain in California, Asia’s Instagram has it all!
@thespringbreakfamily – Bianca Dottin
My favorite travel account is @thespringbreakfamily. I love how they incorporate their family into every trip they take. They provide tips on how to realistically travel with your family and the best family-friendly places to visit.
@glograpics – Whitney
Want to add rays of sunshine and realness to your feed? Look no further than Gloria Atanmo’s account @Glographics! I’ve been following Gloria since 2015 and love how her passion for her work shines through in every single post. This woman believed her dream so much she up and left the states on a whim after college with no substantial savings or steady income and is now making six figures blogging. She keeps it real addressing important topics that affect women, particularly black women, traveling the world solo. Did I mention she lives pretty much wherever she wants whenever she wants? A true inspiration.
